Discover the freediving world
PURPOSE
The purpose of the Level 3 Apnea Academy course with Apnea Life Tenerife is to apply the training techniques analized during the second level in order to increase the perfomance through advanced techniques of equalization, relaxation, breathing and mental training. The ultimate goal of the level 3 course is to create independent freedivers who can plan their specific training in order to increase their perfomances underwater.

RESULTS TO ACHIEVE

COURSE OUTLINE
The topics discussed during the Apnea Academy Level 1 course will be:
THEORY LESSONS
- Diet of the apneist
- Phisiology of freediving
- Advanced and deep equalization
- Life saving techniques
- Protection of the marine environment
- Specific training for freediving
RELAXATION TECHNIQUES
- Deppen relaxation techniques and autogenous training
- Breathing techniques and Pranayama
TRAINING IN THE WATER (open water and swimming pool)
- Hypoxic and hypercapnic training in the swimming pool
- Advanced equalization techniques
- Underwater donning of the equipment
- Free immersion along the guide rope
- Constant weight freedive (CWT)
- Variable weight freedive (VWT and No limits)
- 25 meter of dynamic apnea at 5 meters depth
- Life saving excercise: recovery a victim at 15 meters depth
- Static apnea
- Phisical training for freediving
The theory courses will take place at the center of Surf Life Tenerife at Playa de Las Américas.
The open water session of the Apnea Academy Level 2 course will take place in a bay few minutes driving from the school or in open ocean with the support of a boat.

The lessons in the swimming pool will be held at associated centers.

Useful information
- The course is open from a minimum of 2 persons to a maximum of 12 participants ;
- Every 6 students there will be an instructor ;
- The course include all the equipment necessary for the open water session (wetsuit, masks, snorkel, weight belt, weights, fins), the insurance and videos and pictures of the experience ;
- It can be organized according to the needs of students, in 5 consecutive days or every other day ;
- The organization of the course will be flexible depending on the marine conditions ;
- The open water sessions will be held during the morning, the moment of the day with the best marine conditions ;
- For a good perfomance during the course, we recommend having a good breakfast at least one hour before the beginning of the lessons. It is advisable to bring water and dried fruit with you to consume during the course or at the end of the session in the water.
FREEDIVING COURSE FOR RESIDENTS IN TENERIFE
For residents in the island, we offer the possibility to organize the course during the evening over 2 months.
